Rubbish

I've been around a long time -

I won't reveal my age.

I thought the time had long since passed

When I'd give way to rage.

But, someone very recently

Has put me to the test

By chucking rubbish in my bin

For I am quite possessed

In keeping that same bin quite clean

It seems to me to be obscene

That after that bin has been cleared

A residue has there appeared.

Someone whose parents never wed

Has left it there for me instead

To clean it up with soap and water

So I am led like lamb to slaughter.

With scrubbing brush and hose and all -

It's a wonder that I didn't fall.

If I could find this seaky vandal

I wouldn't care about a scandal.

If only I  had strength enough

I'd firmly grab hold of this tough

And shove him headfirst in the bin.

No need to guess the rage I'm in.
