Pharmacy Girls

The girls in the pharmacy just down the road

Must all have the patience of saints.

For the most part they see old people like me

With a vast range of different complaints.

The pharmacy girls are blondes and brunettes,

When you get your prescription you’ll have no regrets

For they’ll make you feel better each time and you will

Be cheered up so much before taking that pill.

The pharmacy girls can be driven half mad

By blokes old enough to be their grandad

But they just pas it off with a smile and a wink

What they are feeling I don’t dare to think.

So let’s give a cheer for the pharmacy girls,

Dispensing both smile and advice

Though we may dislike the potions we take

They’ve made sure that the dose is precise.

When we feel a bit low, who can lighten the load?

The girls at the pharmacy just down the road.
