Mother's Day Adventure

Mother's Day was quite a blast

What makes the years go by so fast?

Four generations sharing lunch,

We are quite an eclectic bunch

Time to go home - entry denied,

The garage door locked from the inside.

No other keys with us were found -

One of us let forth a ghastly sound.

Two of us went off to find the place

Our manager would be, in case

An emergency should arise.

We were in for a big surprise.

No-one there, too late we found

The manager didn't live in this compound.

Another place we ventured in,

They helped us out, we had a win.

Phoned the boss, he supplied a number

To ensure we had a place to slumber.

At last the problem was all sorted,

In our home we then disported

Ourseles, wrapped in domestic bliss -

Vowed never again our keys to miss.
