The glory of your world, Lord, leaves me spellbound
The velvet blackness of the sky at night
With crescent moon and evening star bright blazing
Before the silent coming of the light.
Magpies making music in the morning
Pouring out a song of wondrous praise
Sunlight on the sparkling ocean
Warming all the earth in golden rays.
The beauty of each tree and leaf and flower
As petals quietly unfurl;
All the lovely jewels of the garden
In shades of ruby, amethyst and pearl.
Overarching canopy of forests
The hush of every fern and moss-filled glade
Gurgling streams that hurry to the rivers –
All these wonders you alone have made.
The glory of your world, Lord, leaves me spellbound.
