In the darkness behind our eyes

There is another world of light,

Silent, mysterious, suffused with love.

The soul, quiescent, all care suspended,

Basks in reflected radiance.

 

Day’s discordance cannot penetrate

Where gentle breathing is the only sound

And hearts and minds are stilled

In contemplation.

 

There is an unseen Presence here

Waiting to embrace the trusting spirit

That yearns towards the Source

Of beauty, grace and truth.
